Outside the office, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors, surfing, and staying active. He shares his life with his girlfriend, his family—including his dad, Christopher, who is also an advisor and partner at Laurel Oak—and their two dogs, Theo and Sully. Matt enjoys traveling and embracing new experiences, which has taken him to remote destinations such as Eastern Sumbawa, Indonesia. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, the guitar or finding a new book to enjoy. His guiding mantra: “Never give up on a goal because of the time it will take – the time will pass anyway.”
